Fourth of July on the National Mall

It doesn’t get more patriotic than celebrating the 4th of July in Washington DC! The fireworks spectacle on the National Mall is free for all to enjoy. The festivities last all day and it gets hot out there so if you are planning to go remember to stay hydrated! Other recommended spots to view the fireworks other than on the mall include the FDR Memorial, the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, The White House Ellipse, West Potomac Park, East Potomac Park, and Anacostia Park.

The Great Zucchini has been a children’s comedian and magician for over 20 years! He’s performed at camps, preschools, for presidents, and more! He will be performing a free show July 7. Kids are guaranteed to laugh!

Lotus and Water Lily Festival 
Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14
10 am – 5 pm at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens
Come check out the flowers in full bloom at the Lotus and Water Lily Festival at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens! The Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens are the last remaining wetlands in the city. The festival will feature live performances, arts and crafts stations, games, tours, and of course- the flowers! There will be water stations provided and vendors will be selling food, but feel free to bring a picnic to enjoy!
